Rhonda and Josh are cool folk that kick out fun kids. I’ve known them for many years. i could tell some crazy stories that go all the way back to the Westmont years. Unfortunately, if i start, they just may have some good dish on me that i don’t want out there on the interweb.

Do enjoy the pictures we made at a local Santa Barbara beach a few weeks ago.

i got to hang out with the diaz family. they are lots of fun, make cute babies, and have a killer house. i really enjoyed the pre-shoot tour of the place and could see that it was going to be fantastic in pictures. it didn’t let me down. i hope you agree.

this is the dixon family. they live down the street from us. they have chickens. they look good on film. they care about our planet. they make great s’mores. they are one killer family!

when we were mostly done, the dixons sat in front of my brand new Nikon F3. first roll of film through the new machine. just making sure it works right. these black and white shots are from that first roll. i think the camera works well enough. edit: the camera is new to me, but was built back when i was in high school. still some of the best glass on the market. i picked it up so i can have access to all the fantastic nikkors out there floating around ebay and the consignment stores.

i’ve known bonnie and todd for many years now.  they’ve been influencial people in the life of my family - probably without even knowing it.  so about a year ago when bonnie mentioned having me take some pictures of their family, i was very excited.  but for some reason it never got on the calendar.  that is until last week.

i had not been to their house for a few years so i cruised by a good 20 minutes early.  because i didn’t want to intrude, i rolled right on by thinking i would explore their neighborhood for a few minutes before showing up for real.  two minutes later i get a phone call: “geordie?  are you lost?”  i don’t think bonnie believed me when i told her my plan.  ”just get over here,” she said.

and this is what happened…

these next are some of my favorites. they probably won’t end up huge prints in the fearer house as the super nice kids are looking moody and tough-guy, but i like the way they turned out. so there. you gotta look at them because i liked them.
